Bio: As a former textile designer and current architectural colorist, harmonious color combinations have been the main focus of her paintings. With the vibrancy of watercolor as well as the softness of gouache, Kathy invites the viewer into her vision – to see a landscape with new eyes.

Kenney Resident Artist: Gladys Herreid

Bio: Gladys has lived at The Kenney since 1985 and before that she was on the Activities Staff for a number of years. Gladys found her love of painting during World War II while living in Longbeach, California where she attended the local community college art classes.

Kenney Resident Artist: Karin Mick
Medium: Watercolor
Bio: Karen started oil painting in the 1970’s and took some classes now and then. In 1985 she retired, and spent many winters with her husband in the desert in Indio, California. There she was introduced to water color painting, and has enjoyed it ever since. She took lessons and enjoyed painting in the sunshine and in the lovely desert light. She is now back in Seattle full time, and can think of no better way to spend her leisure hours than painting with a group of good friends, Monday artists. Karin and her husband Harold live at The Kenney in the independent Ballymena apartments.
