We’re delighted to welcome back Tim Marsden as our featured artist this month. Tim was born in Liverpool, studied art in London, and has traveled back and forth between Europe and North America most of his life. He now makes his home in Seattle where he has been involved with the local arts community on many levels. He has shown extensively in the area, from his own studio/gallery space, to the Lava Lounge, to Pioneer Square. On Thursday evenings Tim hosts a weekly arts group known simply as Artnight. Tim’s work is a recognizable figurative style using a bold palette and cartoonish imagery, while also exploring the darker, more absurd aspects of human existence. “I go to great pains to keep the work within an art historical context.” To see some of his work, go to http://www.etmarsden.com.
On the same night as Art Walk this month, our weekly free wine tasting will feature South African wines, in honor of the World Cup finals! No vuvuzelas necessary, just come and try some great wines from South Africa. Also, this week only, we’re having a special sale. All wines over $25 are 15% off (20% off for wine club members). Sale ends Saturday, July 10. Come by, check out Tim’s cool art, try some wines, and grab some amazing discounts.
