Cris Miller will be showing a selection of his photographic works at West Seattle Cellars tomorrow night for Art Walk.
“I have the good fortune of spending much of my life traveling to distant parts of the world and of capturing images, both large and little, abstract and realistic, which speak to my experience of those places. I’m drawn to the details, the contours and the folds that define the character of a landscape and help mold the cultures that inhabit it. While over and over again I seek out the wildness of mountains, it’s really all natural landscapes that I love. I feel solace in the quiet of canyons, adventure on moving water, humility in giant forests, awe in the presence of wildlife, and wonder at the diversity and beauty of our planet. My photos strive to convey this connection.”
Cris has been in the business of adventure travel for 25 years and has visited and captured images in more than 50 countries. For this Art Walk showing, all of her photos will be sale priced, making them great gifts for the holidays. In addition, she will donate all profits to Nepal SEEDS, a non-profit, grassroots organization that has built schools, medical clinics, and bio-gas and water systems for remote and undeserved villages in Nepal.
