South Seattle College Gallery is excited to bring a new exhibit to Art Walk this month. The title is Aircraft Parts: Aviation Maintenance Department Show and you can catch it this Thursday during Art Walk at the SSC Art Gallery, from 6-9pm.
South Seattle College has a long and rich history of producing skilled Aviation Maintenance Technicians. Our aviation program began in the 1930’s as Edison Technical College. In 1968, it evolved into one of South’s professional technical programs when the community college system was established in Washington state. Today, South Seattle College serves nearly 200 students, more than any other aviation maintenance program in our State.
As a Part 147 school under the FAA’s Federal Aviation Regulations, SSC delivers an eight quarter program with graduates prepared to take the FAA Airframe and Power plant (A & P) licensing exams. Program graduates are employed with companies including Alaska Airlines, Aviation Technical Services, Delta Airlines, and The Boeing Company.
