‘Familiar Spirits’ is a series of mixed media pieces by Maxx illustrating her unique characters with their spirit animals.
Maxx is a native-Seattle artist, illustrator and designer. Through a combination of formal training and experimentation she’s created a style that at times is childish, complicated and entirely her own. Her work frequently features bright colors and scenes inspired by her own vivid dreams. When not working on pieces for solo shows, she runs the gallery Push/Pull at the Greenwood Collective, writes and illustrates her comic, Glenn Crake, and designs and screen prints her own line of accessories and apparel.
