For Businesses Hosting Artists

Businesses can host art all month-long during business hours or opt to stay open on Second Thursday Art Walk to host visitors at a reception, 5pm ’til late. Aim for 8pm closing or later, depending on guests.

You curate your artists and communicate directly to the WSAW 10 days prior to the Art Walk. If you’re looking for artists to show, visit our Artist Library or email us and we’ll send you a document with available artists’ work samples and their contact info.

Quarterly registration includes your business being featured on the printed walking map, quarterly posters to hang in your location, walking maps to distribute to customers, and promotion on our blog, social media, and community email newsletter.

  1. Register your business to be part of the Art Walk, including annual or quarterly payment.
  2. Select your artist: Someone you know or have seen before, or someone from the Artist Library approximately by first of month (request from mia@wsartwalk.org)
  3. Arrange a visit or call with your artist to discuss the exhibit, reception and hanging the art.
  4. **IMPORTANT** Provide Artist Info to the Art Walk team via the online Artist Info form (see links below) – or have your artist do this – to give us info to market the event. Deadline: the day before the event.
  5. Promote Your Art Walk Exhibit on social media, your email list, word of mouth, and Art Walk marketing materials. The Art Walk team will also be promoting the event and exhibits through our social channels and website.
  6. Host a reception on Art Walk night! Businesses are responsible for planning their monthly exhibits and for coordinating directly with their artists. Would you like more details? Check out our Best Practices For Businesses PDF.

FOR PARTNERS

Six Easy Steps to Join Art Walk

Partnering with the West Seattle Art Walk provides you with a variety of impressions both in the community and online. You can choose to support art in your community without participating as an exhibiting venue or food and drink establishment.

As a Partner, you will receive visibility through our marketing efforts in digital and print media and reach an audience of Seattle art enthusiasts who are excited about local art collections. Your financial contribution will help fund ongoing programming, artist education through workshops and community outreach collateral.

For Restaurants & Drinking Establishments

No registration fees! You may either extend happy hour or offer a discount/special during Art Walk. We will list your business on our printed and online Art Walk Map and promote your business on social media.
