West Seattle Dentists Unite to Offer High School Seniors Cash for College
Dr. Matthew Pavlovich presents the Quest for College Cash

Pavlovich Dental, one of West Seattle’s premier dental practices, is stepping away from the dentist’s chair for a moment to give back to West Seattle area teens looking at heading to college next fall. Matthew Pavlovich, or “Dr. Pav” as he is known to his patients, is spearheading the Quest for College Cash, an essay contest where West Seattle high school seniors have a chance at winning a scholarship (currently $3,000 and growing) that they can use towards college expenses. Joining Dr. Pav in funding the Quest’s scholarship are Dr. Travis Sorensen of Sorensen Orthodontics, Lloyd Tucker of Renaissance Center for Implants and Periodontics, and Pacific Endodontics.

A kick-off block party for the Quest will take place at Dr. Pav’s office on Thursday, September 11th from 5- 8 pm. There will be refreshments, local art and fashion, a raffle and, of course, the launch of the Quest. Everyone is welcome to stop by, especially local-area high school seniors who would like to pick up an application to enter the Quest for College Cash. The Quest for College Cash runs until January 31st, 2015, at which time Dr. Pav and his co-contributors will select the winner of the scholarship.

Dr. Pav and his colleagues are hoping the scholarship continues to grow with additional funds donated from West Seattle businesses. ”The more we can involve our area businesses in supporting the future endeavors of our high school students, the better prepared they will be for college,” said Dr. Pav. “I know that a scholarship of any amount can really make a difference to those who want to continue their education after high school.”
