Margot Quan Knight will be showing a selection of her artwork at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery this Thursday for November Art Walk.

Margot Quan Knight received an MFA in photography from Bard College in 2009. From 2000- 2002 she was a sponsored photographer at FABRICA, the communication arts research center of Benetton, located in Villorba, Italy. She earned a BA in Studio Art at Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude in 1999.

Margot’s photography and video work has been featured in over 70 international publications and exhibited around the world in 20 solo shows and numerous group shows. Solo shows include GAS Art Gallery, (Turin, Italy), James Harris Gallery, (Seattle, W.A.), and California State University (Chico, CA) and group shows include the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (Italy), the Dotmov Festival (Sapporo, Japan), and Centre Pompidou (Paris, France). Margot has received grants from institutions including Artist Trust, 4Culture, and the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs.

Margot is based in Seattle where she is a member of SOIL art collective and a part-time lecturer at the University of Washington, Bothell. She is represented by GAS Art Gallery in Turin, Italy.
