“Everyone was so positive last night!!!” to quote one of our photographers! We like to hear that, because there is (still) a lot of be positive about, and grateful for. We thank those Art Lovers who came out, and we thank the businesses that were hosting and sharing with the community last night. It’s a hard time, and we appreciate every effort and elbow bump!
Highlights of last night: Local artists and local musicians (guitar and hammered dulcimer). Tours of ArtNest including the SPLATTER ROOM. And best of all was the “Busman’s holiday” for Inner Alchemy owners Maari Falsetto and Tami Bensen, having the chance to finally stroll the Art Walk themselves. First stop? Viscon Cellars! And a toast with owner Ben Viscon raised to Art.
From Admiral to Arbor Heights, from Zelda Zonk to Brace Point Pottery, and so many businesses, restaurants, bars and cafes in between, people were celebrating togetherness. Maybe it was deliberate, knowing that we might need to be a little to ourselves here soon. Maybe it was defiance. Maybe it was just for the delight.
We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring the West Seattle Art Walk – Verity Credit Union, Canna West Seattle, John L. Scott Real Estate, PCC West Seattle and our media partner West Seattle Blog. Thank you, too, to the all artists, merchants, and restaurants/bars/cafes for making this monthly event happen. To you, art-seeker, thanks for being part of this community.
Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of March by volunteer photographers Carole B., Todd M. and Sofia V. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
