Open air, open doors, open hearts! Last night’s Art Walk was breezy and fun and full of people. So many we spoke with said how excited they were to be part of the event, that they were ready to be out, and ready to socialize. With WA State’s vaccinated population at 70%, more venues opted to go maskless, and we loved seeing (and giving) smiles. Artists were creating paintings and quilts while we watched. Art Lovers used their Walking Maps, and visited venues from Admiral to Arbor Heights, with many, many in between. They bought art (we heard of at least 20 pieces)! They shopped local (we saw the shopping bags to prove it)! They sipped and nibbled (us, too!)! It was an early summer party.
Most of the artwork featured at participating business will be up all month long, so be sure to visit during business hours. If you weren’t able to come out, catch our livestream videos on Facebook and Instagram.
We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring the West Seattle Art Walk – our newest partner Quail Park Memory Care Residences, Fogue Gallery, Verity Credit Union, Canna West Seattle, Brookdale Senior Living and our media partner West Seattle Blog. Thank you, too, to the all artists, merchants, and restaurants/bars/cafes for making this monthly event happen. To you, art-seeker, thanks for being part of this community.
Here’s a photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of May by volunteer photographers Jacquie S., Kate McN., Carole B., Dan J., Reeve W. and Lora R.

Oh thank you so much!!! I’m having an absolute blast with it! Next month we will have a stained glass artist pop-up and a live musician busking out front, along with a new artist and wine paired with the art from Molly’s Bottle Shop next door. Super excited!
