We felt the chill, and heard the rustle of leaves. Strains of Hot Club Jazz and guitar-accompanied song drifted on the autumn breeze. Art Walk has come to mean so much more than a monthly art show. With over 50 businesses hosting receptions or offering food and drink specials, Art Walk casts a wide net of love for a wide variety of artists, from first time exhibitors to the seasoned over-50s set, on all channels of personal expression. Art Lovers mix and mingle, supporting our West Seattle businesses, with a smile and (we’re seeing a lot of) hugs. Pop-ups are popping, receptions are festive, and it feels like we are coming into the holiday season. Thank you all for coming out and making last night a special celebration!
We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring the West Seattle Art Walk – Dr. Michael Korn, DDS, The Good Society Brewery, Verity Credit Union, Canna West Seattle, Brookdale Senior Living, Quail Park, Fogue Gallery and our media partner West Seattle Blog. Thank you, too, to the all artists, merchants, and restaurants/bars/cafes for making this monthly event happen. To you, art-seeker, thanks for being part of this community.
Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of October by volunteer photographers Carole B., Jill M., Kate McN., Reeve W. and Dan J. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
