November Art Walk in Pictures

Art lovers were NOT deterred by a torrential downpour! Thank you to those who braved the elements to make Thursday’s event extra special for the artists and the businesses. And musicians! Were you able to catch one of the two Art of Music performances, in Admiral and Alaska? We saw new media mixing – aluminum! wood burls! ceramics! metal hardware! ephemera! vintage collage materials! – and watercolors, acrylics and oils expressing Black and Latinx beauty, the charm of forest fauna, and abstract moonscapes. Artists’ ages ranged from 13 to north of the eighth decade, all teaching us lessons. Best of all? So. Many. Options. With an event of over 40 exhibiting businesses and over 10 food and drink establishments, there is something for everybody. Even a professional clown! Really (check out Verity).

We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring the West Seattle Art Walk – Dr. Michael Korn, DDS, The Good Society Brewery, Verity Credit UnionCanna West SeattleBrookdale Senior Living, Quail ParkFogue Gallery and our media partner West Seattle Blog. Thank you, too, to the all artists, merchants, and restaurants/bars/cafes for making this monthly event happen. To you, art-seeker, thanks for being part of this community.

Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of November by volunteer photographers John R., Jill M., Chris M., Kate McN., and Dan J. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
