The May Art Walk had quite the turnout and businesses were hopping with viewers! Doors were opened wide to welcome a steady stream of visitors all evening long. Our West Seattle locales enjoyed the fun with tasteful receptions featuring snacks and wine, and ArtsWest even had theirs in individually packaged goody bags. The atmosphere was friendly and light, giving us a preview of the summer months to come. There were special events as well, and The Grove Inn celebrated their 10th anniversary with a festive reception and an opportunity to view new artist-designed custom wallpaper featuring local wildlife. Without a doubt, it was another very special night for the artists of West Seattle and their supporters, as well as a great way for the community to come together!
The team of Art Walk photographers did a wonderful job of capturing the ambiance as well as the art and artists. If you weren’t able to come out, we hope you take a moment to check out video clips and photos of the receptions below. Or, better yet, come see the shows yourself. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring to the West Seattle Art Walk – The Grove West Seattle Inn, Northwest Art and Frame, The Good Society Brewery, Verity Credit Union, Canna West Seattle, Quail Park, Fogue Gallery, COMPASS Real Estate, our media partner West Seattle Blog and our printing partner Sky Printing.
Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of May by volunteer photographers Dan, Carole, Helen, Jill, Reeve, and Kate. We couldn’t do this without you!
