October Art Walk in Pictures

West Seattleites were out and about to celebrate art, music, and the overall spookiness of the season for October Art Walk. It was a peaceful evening, with the smoky air and striking fuchsia sunset setting the backdrop for local artists and art walkers to enjoy coming together. There was lots of excitement as folks walked the Junction.

Patrons at Soprano’s Antico Pizza & Pasta Restaurant enjoyed the sounds of hot club jazz and early French swing music performed by members of the Byron String Quartet. Visitors at Verity Credit Union enjoyed the festive, rhythmic sounds of guitar music performed by New Age Flamenco. The musicians garnered enthusiastic clapping from the audience during the evening, and listeners enjoyed refreshments including free Otter Pops and Halloween candy!

Lars Gesing had been waiting eight weeks for a new delivery from his specialty printers and we stopped by just in time for a literal unveiling of the new photo!

The team of Art Walk photographers did a wonderful job of capturing the ambiance as well as the art and artists. If you weren’t able to come out, we hope you take a moment to check out video clips and photos of the receptions below. Or, better yet, come see the shows yourself. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.

We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring to the West Seattle Art Walk –Northwest Art and Frame, The Good Society Brewery, Verity Credit UnionCanna West Seattle, Quail Park, COMPASS Real Estate, our media partner West Seattle Blog and our printing partner Sky Printing.

Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of September by volunteer photographers Carole, Dan, John, Michelle, Jill, and Nancy. We couldn’t do this without you!
