Very few businesses in West Seattle have a location that ensures everyone knows your name. Sky Printing, located at the corner of 35th and Fauntleroy, is easily seen by those coming and going on the West Seattle bridge. They have been greeting visitors and residents there since 2006 (formerly Sudden Printing).
Sky Printing has been a strong supporter of the West Seattle Art Walk (and West Seattle Junction Association) for many years and are an in-kind partner for the monthly art walks. Printing and art often go hand-in-hand but the art on their walls, and the monthly Art-A-Thon competition they host, shows their commitment to support local artists. Every month an artist is randomly chosen to highlight their work on the walls of Sky Printing as well as their social media and website. Each winner also receives a 15% discount on printing for the month. Simply come by and put your name in the Art-A-Thon jar!
Sky Printing is a family run business – Gauhar Faruqi (pictured above) owns and manages the West Seattle print shop while his brothers operate three other printing locations in the Seattle, Bellevue, and Mt. Vernon areas.
Customers get the personal touch from Sky Printing. Gauhar often picks up and/or drops off print or copy jobs himself so he can meet and talk with his customers. His staff, Ann, Brian, Jordan and Leo are friendly and helpful. All four of them are designers and offer in-house support.
“We love to share the work of our artistic customers – they visit us regularly and our team offers strong design team to help support their needs.” – Gauhar Faruqi, owner of West Seattle Sky Printing
Sky Printing is located at 4151 Fauntleroy Way SW. Hours are Monday-Friday 9-5:00 pm, Saturdays 10-2:00 pm.
Visit the West Seattle Art Walk website for more Business Spotlights and information about future Art Walks – the second Thursday of every month, 5-8:00 p.m.
