Briny Margin
Much of my recent studio work is focused on line, form and time specifically. With Briny Margin, I use color as a means to de-emphasize the line and form. I want the color itself to be a subject of this work representing a time and place of the viewer’s interpretation. Adding the subtle line as a means to graphically re-emphasize demarcations, margins in these studio landscapes.

Windermere West Metro Real Estate (Art walk partner)

Siege INDOOR SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm.
Seattle native Siege has been involved with both graphic design and printmaking since the ‘80s. In 1991 he obtained a BFA from the Cornish College of the Arts and has painted professionally since then. As a longtime printmaker, he preferred the paper surface over canvas, so the works start with a layer of paper. Calling his style “industrial figurative”, an intense process follows- with an unorthodox technique of pushing, pulling, scratching, scraping, sanding, and “attacking” these layers. His vision and inspiration are that the surface of the canvas IS the painting, and subjects- comprising bridges, birds, and boats, motorcycles, mechanical or industrial tools – are simply reasons to divide a canvas. His 30 Year Retrospective exhibition at the Lynnwood Convention Center in 2021 documents the journey over three decades.
Artist Statement: Art is a revolution in a love affair in a rebellion in an avalanche in a war. It is a multiple chase scene through burning roses with two extra dimensions superimposed, each one on fire, and the entire orchestra closing in on the forward slope of a tidal wave. • It is the real last word ; the one weapon that can never be beat- ever.

Shelley Irish ARTIST OPEN STUDIO 4pm-6pm
Through my art, I explore the web of psychology and the comfort of nature. I aim to paint beautiful things that act as a bridge between healing and the rawness of feelings. When I paint, I feel like a choreographer pausing the dance of shadow, light and color at the precise moment when all of them are in their full expression. To find that full expression of each component of the dance, I use Master’s and Mische Techniques and labor over my paintings for months or years. I started ‘disappearing’ while painting as a young girl and the effects of the creative process on the brain have captivated me ever since. Deep meditation is the only thing I have been able to relate to these experiences. Now I am an artist obsessed with neuroscience and how art effects the brain. I am a painting teacher and Certified Therapeutic Arts Coach. I guide people in personal liberation through tools of the the mind and imagination. I work with individuals and business teams.

Jon Couch INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm
After spending several years in Colorado, I reawakened my love for art—a
passion that began in my youth, where I explored photography, graphic
design, and digital art. Recent life changes and a return to the west coast
solidified my resolve to pursue my artistic dreams. My work blends
traditional travel photography and 360-degree imagery with digital effects,
bringing new perspectives to familiar scenes. I am thrilled to share my
work with a wider audience, inspiring them as I’ve been inspired. Some of
my work has been showcased in Denver’s a Gaylord Street gallery and

Steffanie Lorig BUSINESS HOUR DISPLAY ONLY 6pm- 8pm.
During the week, Steffanie Lorig is a designer at a professional services firm, but in her off time, she heads for her studio and immerses herself in creative endeavors. Her whimsical and folkloric creations often have mutable forms, exploring a world of impossible possibilities—where the expected is turned inside out and upside down. She nurtures curiosity—rather than judgment—and embraces mess-making and randomness.
Unconstrained by predictability, she lets the piece become what it wants to be and lets her imagination lead where it will. To help her relinquish control, she often uses her hands, sticks, or kitchen utensils to increase her sense of play.
She almost always has paint on her somewhere.
