Drew Mortenson INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-late
ModiMakes is a Pacific Northwest native who developed a love for art and imagery from a young age. He decided at age 9 that a professional artist is all that he wanted to be. This passion led ModiMakes to work through a variety of styles and subject matters but through everything an obsession with portraiture, iconography, and character design emerged. He combined these three core elements into his signature style that typically depicts a bold central figure in the midst of action or interaction. Utilizing a combination of inspirations from street art to pop art and cubism he renders these figures with bold bright colors and stark black linework for an intense high-contrast look that forces the character into the foreground of the viewer’s sight line.
The love of character creation and portraiture developed from a desire to clearly and concisely convey a particular mood, emotion, and message through a relatable surrogate experience. By placing a figure in a setting that has a clear expression, intent, and interaction, ModiMakes takes the idea of an icon to its limits by turning the icon into an intricate detailed image while still retaining the core function of displaying a message as quickly and clearly as possible.

Aude/Ôd Arutunian and Patrick Arutunian INDOOR SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm. Join us for a delightful evening with mother and son artists, Ôd and Patrick!
Ôd
It’s right before mother’s day:) and I will share the space with my son Patrick. A very talented 21 years old photographer. It’s something very special for me✨
As a former lighting designer, color has always been at the heart of my work—and it still is. Creating worlds through the assembly of shapes and colors is my way of flying above reality. I dive into each creation with a playful spirit, and you’ll often find me smiling as I bring together different elements to shape a coherent dream—at least coherent to me.
Patrick
I will be showing my photos alongside my mother Aude Arutunian’s work.
Patrick is photographing the everchanging Seattle area through his eyes as a student at UW. The subjects range from shoot to shoot, but generally focus on our interactions with the city.

The Place We Live
“The Place We Live” is a reflection of my deep appreciation for residential architecture and interior spaces. Working with wood veneers opens up endless possibilities for exploring texture, depth, and contrast. I’m drawn to the challenge—like assembling a puzzle without a reference image—where each piece of wood becomes part of a larger narrative.
By reimagining this traditional furniture-making craft through a contemporary lens, I aim to create something both familiar and entirely new.

Ben Jordan INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm.
Practice is Never Perfect
I’ve been a painter for over 20 years and only now have I felt like I finally found my voice, my style, and how I truly want to represent myself through art; and I’m ready to sell it to the world. This show is taken from images, moments, and experiences. It’s taken from my influences, past dreams and goals to blend what I paint today. The show is titled, ‘Practice Is Never Perfect’. This is to tell you that perfection is never attainable, that’s not the goal. It’s the learning to love the process, the journey.
My intention with this show is in a sense my ‘debut’ as an artist. I aim to attract serious buyers and galleries, showcasing my potential. I’m very excited to be a part of the West Seattle community as I grew up here and have called this place home for a long time.

Sarah Ann Harris Hamilton INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm
Remember the Forgotten
Sarah Ann Hamilton is a resilient survivor, passionate advocate, and fierce protector of those finding their way out of darkness. A survivor of human trafficking, domestic violence, and addiction, Sarah Ann has turned her pain into purpose. Her journey of healing fuels her work as the Director of Survivor Services and co-founder of The More We Love, an organization dedicated to walking alongside survivors with dignity, compassion, and action.
Sarah Ann’s leadership is rooted in radical empathy, authenticity, and a deep belief that healing begins with being seen and heard. She leads with a “boots-on-the-ground” approach — never asking anyone to do something she wouldn’t do herself — and works to elevate survivor voices in every space she enters. She is unwavering in her belief that those with lived experience are the real experts and is fiercely committed to creating pathways for survivors to lead.
As an artist, Sarah Ann uses creative expression to process pain and inspire healing. Her debut show, H.O.E. — Honored Over Everything, debuted at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, offering an unflinching, redemptive look at survival, faith, and reclaiming identity. Her work has sparked conversations about shame, freedom, and what it means to rise. Beyond direct service, Sarah Ann has helped influence legislation aimed at holding traffickers and buyers accountable, advocating for laws that protect and empower survivors. Her advocacy is loud, informed, and rooted in love — for the women and families she serves, and for the future she refuses to stop fighting for. A proud mother, grandmother, and wife, Sarah Ann brings the same fierce love to her family that she brings to her work. Whether she’s sitting in a courtroom, cleaning rooms in emergency housing, or walking someone through their next brave step — she is known for reminding everyone she meets: You are not alone. You are loved. And you can rise.

Beverley K Hill INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm. Bev Hill was selected as the Featured Artist of Q2.
The Collections
I am driven by process, much more than by perfection or consistency. I have always loved experimenting and discovering new methods of production, which is why I chose to get a degree in Industrial Design. My degree launched me into a rewarding, thirty year career of architectural lighting design. In 2016, I retired and set up an art studio, Stixel Studios, a mash-up of pixels and stitches, in my home. I began creating art in as many mediums as I could get my hands on, using any new process I learned about. I have created works in oils, acrylics, pastels, paper, fabric, wood, glass, plaster, airbrush, inks, and various printing techniques.
I conceive of my art in collections. I never imagine a one-off piece: it is always as a family of works that relate to one another. During this month’s art walk I will be debuting my collection called, Bones, which was produced during a recuperation period after breaking my heel bone and subsequently working with Therapeutic Associates for my recovering. Also, I will have a display showing design process for my next collection, Industrial Scouting, which will be fun. You will get to see how the sausage is made, I will continue to display pieces of my Ocean Grunge, Winsome and the Well-Played Collections. I hope you enjoy them and they bring you half the enjoyment they gave me to make them.
The images below are from the Well Played Collection. The child handing the woman flowers, Spring Offerings, was the piece that was selected for the art walk posters for this April, May, and June. The poster is shown at the beginning of this post.

Joseph Rossano INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 10am-8pm We have art from several other artists in our space, some are for sale, others are not. Mr. Rossano’s work is so highly sought after we are only able to get one or two pieces from his at this time. However, this piece is 8ft x 30in in size so quite a dramatic piece, done for us exclusively. We will be doing a post on IG here soon once we have finalized what pieces we will have on display.
JOSEPH ROSSANO, born to clinicians and research scientists, graduated from Louisiana State University as an artist. His path joined him, via mentorship, collaboration, and exhibition, with renowned artists and institutions including Dale Chihuly, Judy Pfaff, The Pilchuck Glass School, Waterford Crystal, Museum of Glass, the South Australia Museum, Google, and more. Integrating cutting edge technology and science with his art, Rossano engages and challenges the viewer to reflect upon humankind’s impact on our planet and its varied ecosystems. Much of his youth was spent exploring the North Shore of New York’s Long Island and hiking in the Catskill Mountains. These were formative years that evolved a life focused on creating environmental awareness through art.
Rossano now lives and works 65 miles north of Seattle, with his home and studio nestled in the temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest.

Museful Purpose BUSINESS HOUR DISPLAY ONLY 5pm- 7pm. Artist will be in attendance during Art Walk.
The colors of the world pull me, and I respond. Sometimes it’s the way light filters through the branches of a tree or the sharp contrast of a building against a baby-blue sky. My style, Glob Art, blends traditional painting with sculptural techniques, inviting both creative expression and technical precision. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the colors that captivate me while working the layers until they balance and counterbalance each other just right. The moment I know a piece is complete is when it offers a different experience up close than it does from far away.
