Belle Shea is an independent alternative songwriter in Brooklyn, NY. Her music has been called “a masterclass in vulnerability” (B Side Guys) and comes recommended by Steve Ferrone, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drummer on his SIRIUSXM radio show (“Go listen to it. You’ll remember it.”). Part of the Breedlove Guitars Pro Artist program, she has been featured as one of the Official Bands at NAMM ’25, at Ladybug Music Festival 2025, in American Songwriter magazine as the winner of the “May Flowers” feature and again as one of the top 25 songs of the 2023 Song Contest.
Selena Tibert is an alternative folk artist and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. Grounded in expertly crafted musical arrangements with a clear, rich vocal, her songs pulse with modern jazz and 70s folk influence. In June of 2024, Selena Tibert released her debut EP, The Fool. The record was produced, arranged, and engineered entirely by Tibert, and received praise across independent music media: York Calling dubbed it “a triumph, expertly bringing together emotional stories with unconventional instrumental arrangements.”
Together, Belle Shea and Selena Tibert play nuanced, lyrical arrangements that emphasize each others’ strengths. They play a blend of alternative rock/folk music with weaving harmonies, introspective lyricism, and rich doubled guitars. They have shared the stage at Ladybug Festival 2025 (featuring only women-fronted artists) and as part of their four-part all-girl Americana band The Diamond Spur Rodeo.

August 14 Westside Jazz Trio @ Bonjour Vietnam (Pho and Banh Mi in a Casual Atmosphere) in the Alaska Junction
Performing Jazz Standards, Old Standards, and Latin Gems With a Wide Range of Individual Expression and Group Interplay
Click here for the Westside Jazz Trio poster.
The Westside Jazz Trio has been performing every Monday at The Alley in the Junction for over two years. Small group improvisation with careful listening offers these experienced musicians a wide range of individual expression and group interplay. Repertoire includes jazz standards from the greats (Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter), old standards, and Latin gems (Antonio Carlos Jobim).
Guitarist Bruce Barnard, originally from the Detroit area, earned a BA in Fine Arts/Jazz Guitar from Oakland University where he became an active voice on the local scene. After relocating to Seattle in the early 1980’s, he taught privately and at Shoreline CC. Adept at many styles, Bruce has performed in dance/party bands, small jazz groups, with vocalists, and as a soloist. He is a co-founder of the Seattle Jazz Guitar Society, which hosts monthly jam sessions for its members. Bruce plays two types of guitars in the trio. In addition to straight-ahead jazz using an archtop electric guitar, Bruce’s interest in Brazilian and Cuban music showcases his skill with the nylon string guitar.
Michael Olivola is a bassist who’s been performing in the Pacific Northwest for the last seven years. He previously lived and played music in New York, San Francisco and New Mexico. Some of the well-known musicians he has worked with include Larry Coryell, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Mike Clark, Charlie Palmieri, Eddie Daniels, Kenny Davern, Rita Moreno, and Charo, to name a few.
From an early age, Jeff Ferguson has yearned to spend time in the company of musicians. A self-educated practitioner of the American drum set*, Jeff has to date, mastered the single ratamacue, double paradiddle and flamtap. Diligent, focused practice has brought him to the brink of mastering the classic “Wipe Out” drum solo, still a work in progress. He long ago learned the importance of proper technique, realizing that it’s not about pounding the drums, or even beating them, but instead slamming them. Jeff’s skill with drum slamming has enabled him to hang out with many musicians over the years, usually for one performance at a time.

Achieving Ataraxia
Achieving Ataraxia explores the pursuit of inner resilience and peace through color and texture. Using cold wax and oil paints, I create layered, intuitive compositions inspired by nature. Each color serves a purpose—earth tones ground us, blues and greens soothe, and deeper hues invite reflection. Through the tactile qualities of cold wax, I invite the viewer to pause and engage. This work seeks to capture the tranquility that nature offers and the emotional power that specific colors bring to our lives. The World Through Colton’s Eyes
I have discovered my passion for photography while working with my mentor, my
Grandfather. In the past year, I have captured a collection of stunning images I like to
share with my community. My work is making the ordinary, extraordinary. On my recent
trip to Europe, I was inspired by the beauty of ancient buildings, streets and even dark
ally ways. I am only 11 years old, however I feel that I have a great eye & learn more
every day. My Grandfather is very talented and has taught me about the correct lens to
use and lighting. We often go out and take pictures together. I do all my own editing
and framing. My portraits vary from my recent travels, daily life in West Seattle and
sometimes I capture beautiful candid shots of my family. Looking forward to sharing my
collection with the West Seattle community. My Mom & Dad are both entrepreneurs, and
they have taught me to dream big! Join me to check out what I have seen behind my

Rodolfo Rios Garza INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm
Early in my career, my work was Impressionist in style, soft in color and composition. It has often been described as having a Zen feeling, possibly due in part to an unconscious underlying Asian style that infuses my paintings. Yet, there is a starkness to my work that draws you to another place and time. My recent works are created to elicit thought, to touch on a range of moods and emotions, from joy and peace, to solace, sadness, aloneness and loneliness, in both realistic and abstract form. My use of Spanish and English in the titles is a reflection of the two cultures I live in.

My name is Cody, and I am an artist primarily working in paint. I hold a degree in Fine Art and Feminism from Humboldt State University (2011). My artistic journey has evolved from early work and small commissions after graduation to a focus on watercolor painting, which allowed me to dedicate more time to my art.
In 2022, I expanded my practice to include mural painting. Since completing my first city-commissioned mural at the local skate park, I have undertaken five additional city murals and eight private commissions. My mural work frequently incorporates themes of hands, flowers, and the mountain landscape. I pride myself on my adaptability and my commitment to understanding and fulfilling the vision of my clients. I have experience painting on diverse surfaces, both indoors and outdoors, ranging from smooth walls to corrugated metal. Clients consistently describe me as easy to collaborate with, enthusiastic, and efficient, with many returning for subsequent projects within six months, which I believe speaks to the value and impact of my artwork.

Musings of Color
My paintings are about the pleasure of seeing, a celebration of light, atmosphere and mood. My emerging work conveys a sense of movement and energy. My painting has been an experimental journey rooted in intuition. Drawing inspiration form both urban and natural vistas, my process is highly spontaneous – When I connect deeply with a subject, I paint quickly, translating my thoughts and emotions directly onto the canvas. When I allow myself to play and as a result, I gain a spirit of deliberation with intention and expression. My hope is that my art is transmittable with my personal impression that transcribe my experience to share with the viewers.
Thoa Nguyen came to the United States in 1975 as an 11-year-old refugee from Vietnam during the fall of Saigon. She grew up in Denver Colorado, and moved to Seattle WA in the late 90’s. She earned my Bachelor of Arts degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 1989. Her Art degree served as a solid foundation, as it introduced a range of art mediums and styles, as well as the impact of visual communication. Thoa was a restauranteur for 30 years, in 2020 start to paint again due to the Covid pandemic as result in her early retirement in which she purely dedicates herself to art. Thoa concept of art is heavily influenced by Impressionism. Subjects are based on real-life scenes, objects, and people. Through her painting, she enjoys injecting energy and vibrancy into these everyday subjects.

Shelly Sazama, Diane Kappa and Martina Noble INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm. NOR will be hosting three artists for August’s show.
Shelly Sazama
Shelly gathers vintage fabrics and embroideries that would often be discarded and bathes them in indigo. She loves the feel and texture of the vintage fabrics and creates a new story by piecing and slow stitching them together. Inspiration for her slow stitching is often influenced by the imperfect beauty of the vintage fabric. She creates a variety of small art pieces and also useful items.

Diane Kappa Diane will be a host and artist at this year’s West Seattle Art Tour.
Diane Kappa is a Seattle-based printmaker and illustrator whose fine art explores pattern, repetition, and texture through block printing, cyanotype, and hand stitching. Museful Purpose BUSINESS HOUR DISPLAY ONLY 5pm- 7pm. Artist will be in attendance during Art Walk.
The colors of the world pull me, and I respond. Sometimes it’s the way light filters through the branches of a tree or the sharp contrast of a building against a baby-blue sky. My style, Glob Art, blends traditional painting with sculptural techniques, inviting both creative expression and technical precision. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the colors that captivate me while working the layers until they balance and counterbalance each other just right. The moment I know a piece is complete is when it offers a different experience up close than it does from far away.

David Miller INDOORS SHOW & RECEPTION 5pm-8pm
FOREVERGREEN
David comes from a family of artists born and raised in the Puget Sound area. This installation is a result of his love for the Pacific Northwest, and his love of art. Adoring the aesthetic of woodcut prints, David captures the tree’s image, essentially a snapshot of its entire life, with all of its twists, turns, imperfections, and beauty, preserved. Nature is the artist. Every print is a unique, hand burnished original. And all of the tree stumps used to create the printed pieces were found, donated, or borrowed from the PNW.

She is fascinated by the manifestation of energy into form through all the many facets of life. She conveys a narrative of her life’s story through the way form moves across the canvas.
