Trevor Ras: Seafaring Songwriter Rock

Ed Sheeren Meets Jimmy Buffett with a Saxophone

Catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics and his soulful saxophone blend with a penchant for sailing, loop pedals, and campfire sing-a-longs to give Trevor Ras a unique style- one that lands him comfortably between Ed Sheeren, Jimmy Buffett, and Van Morrison.  Whether solo or with the band, his live shows bring a special energy- an honest, interactive, light-hearted approach that connects audience and performer. When you attend a Trevor Ras show, it is like sitting down and having a conversation in your living room. In other words, an experience worth having.  Recorded during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, his latest release, Life at Sea explores the miracle of parenthood, the bond of family, the agony of divorce, second love, and the process of rebuilding life in the aftermath. It offers a small band, acoustic foundation with a hearty groove, hummable hooks, and interesting arrangements. The result is a heartfelt recording that is one part roots, one part acoustic pop, and authentically Trevor Ras.  Originally from Seattle, Trevor spent most of his formative musical years based in Portland, OR as a sideman and saxophone player, touring up and down the I-5 corridor with regional acts like Big Time Rosie, Life After Liftoff and Jesus Presley. During his time in Portland, he played for President Clinton, opened for and played with Steve Miller, Bo Diddley, Fishbone, Pink Martini, the Clumsy Lovers, Tony Furtado, The Iguanas, Rubberneck and many, many more. He spent several years in L.A., touring with national up and comer, Justin Hopkins and the Guilt while daylighting as a music publicist in Hollywood. Since settling in Seattle more than 15 years ago, he has played throughout the Seattle and Portland area with a number of bands, but enjoys nothing more than sitting on a beach, watching his kids play, while strumming his guitar.

Folk, Rock, and Acoustic Pop Blended to Deliver Highly Dynamic, Intensely Emotional and Disarmingly Honest Songs

Singer/Songwriter Taryn Hadfield represents a sound that is equal parts folk, rock, and acoustic pop. Growing up in suburban Idaho, Hadfield found an escape in the music of Florence and The Machine, Death Cab for Cutie and Paramore. Drawing inspiration from modern Folk pop artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Maggie Rogers, she began songwriting and playing the local bar scene of her hometown. In 2019 she joined Next Music Company to record her first album at Studio X in Seattle, Manic Pixie Dream Girl (released in 2022). During the pandemic, she was one of the first musicians to take her talents to the online streaming platform Twitch, and her weekly performances have cultivated a vast and loyal fan base of listeners from around the globe who’ve fallen in love with her highly dynamic, intensely emotional and disarmingly honest songs. Today, she lives and plays in Seattle and is planning release a set of new singles and her sophomore album, Queen of Swords, later this year. ‘
