November Art Walk and Art of Music brought us respite from the rain with bright sounds and colors, tasty treats, and soul-warming bevvies – best experienced in the great company of our wonderful local shops and restaurants.

This month’s Art of Music included McPage & Powell @ Soprano’s Antico Pizza & Pasta Restaurant; Carly Ann Calbero @ Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream; and Cami Voss @ Pine Lake Cellars.

Admiral District included artist and mystic Autumn Tranquilino at West Seattle Grounds. At Dragonfly Yoga, the five different artists on display included Casey Howe, Anna Sparks with A.Sparks Arts, Tiffany Shuck with Wicked Raven Vintage, Heidi Peerman with Sweet Daisy Designs, and DJ Phil Anthony with Seattle House Mafia. Wend Leslie Nan Moon is a Seattle-area printmaking artist known for her vivid linocut works that celebrate Pacific Northwest themes and local landmarks

Alaska Junction highlights included Rebecca Cannon’s surreal art at John L Scott. Verity featured Jon Couch’s travel-inspired photography. At Capers, a group show included Vanessa Lanza, Jimmy Ulvenes, and Gretchen Flickinger. At Easy Street Records, two back-to-back events honored the legacy of the PNW music scene, the power of underground community, and the art it still inspires with a book release, music, and art show.

Morgan Junction hub Alki Arts had a group show featuring PNW based artists  Steve Jensen, Christopher Mathie, David Harrison, Garreth Schuh and Vanessa Lanza. Over at The Building, artists had open studios including Shelly Irish showing her healing inspired art works, Suzie Mulligan mixed media photography, oils and encaustic artwork, and Rebecca Woodhouse’s linocut collage artworks.

Down at the beachfront, West Seattle Arcade, Gary’s Place and the Log House Museum included works by Saachi Das Kuwayama, Babs Fulton, and Tashiya Rodriguez.

We want to thank all our generous partners for the support they bring to the West Seattle Art Walk – ArtsWest, Jet City Labs, Nor Design, Northwest Art and Frame, Verity Credit UnionCanna West Seattle, Quail Park, John L. Scott, Easy Street Records, Windermere West Real Estate, our media partner West Seattle Blog and our printing partner Sky Printing.

Our team of volunteer Art Walk photographers did a wonderful job of capturing the ambiance of the evening as well as the art and artists. Thank you, Carole, Cat, Jon, John, and Michelle. We couldn’t do this without you! If you weren’t able to come out, we hope you take a moment to check out photos of the receptions below or on social media. Or, better yet, come see the shows yourself. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
