Rachel Austin’s Cartography Series at Click! is inspired by a love of maps and the beautiful shapes in the landscape from above. These paintings represent the Puget Sound and Portland geography in a recognizable yet abstract way. Several pieces utilize paper maps or other colorful papers to add pattern and depth to the thick layers of acrylic paint. Framed in a handmade inset wooden frame stained American Pine.
Click! will have a special tasting during Art Walk of locally made jams, jellies, and preserves by Rebecca Staffel of Deluxe Foods.
During the December Art Walk, a portion of all sales at Click! Design That Fits will be donated to Arts Corps, a local non-profit that fosters creative habits of mind in young people through a passionate corps of teaching artists.
