January Art Walk in Pictures

The creative process was on vibrant display yesterday evening at our January Art Walk. Two venues had live painting – Wallflower Custom Framing hosted Patrick Woods, and Verity Credit Union hosted Sandrina Reyes. Wild Rose’s featured encaustic wax work by Ellen Zrimsek, and Canna displayed poured acrylic work by Erika Rimmer (her video was fascinating!). Stunning photography, large- and small-scale, from Michael Jardine, Jay McClure Samuelson and Costinel Anciu. Pen and ink compositions from Morgan Padgett. Previously, we hadn’t thought of a grilled cheese sandwich as art, but Inner Alchemy changed our mind – Chef Karen Binkhorst, with Chefs Joe Muscarello and Darlene Muia Kroon, prepared the most delicious and nourishing winter tastes we could ever wish for.

We are excited for the new year that unfolds in front of us, and all the beautiful art that is to come! We want to thank our generous partners for the support they bring the West Seattle Art Walk – The Office of Rebecca Mitsui, Verity Credit Union, Northwest Art & Frame, Canna West Seattle, and John L. Scott Real Estate. Thank you, too, to the all artists, merchants, and restaurants/bars/cafes for making this monthly event happen. To you, art-seeker, thanks for being part of this community.

Here’s a small photo recap of Art Walk night for the month of January by volunteer photographers, Tami L, Janet R, and Reeve W. Most of the artwork featured will be up all month long, so do find time to visit these venues.
