April 9 Art Walk is All Virtual!

We have made the difficult decision to cancel the April 9 West Seattle Art Walk. The health and safety of our community is our highest priority, and it is imperative at this time to keep ourselves protected. We recognize how challenging this time is for our small businesses, which is why we were reluctant to cancel this coming month’s event. But Art can wait! The care for our community cannot.

Please note: we are not canceling the May 14 or June 11 Art Walks as of yet, and will soon have our Q2 posters to distribute to brighten these darker days. We will also have updated walking maps that welcome the Morgan Junction as an official Art Walk neighborhood! If find yourself out and about, have a look or grab one for planning.

April 9 Virtual Art Walk: Bring Art into Your Social Proximity!

Who can exhibit at the April 9 Art Walk?

Any artist! All you need to do is fill out this Artist Info form. Some businesses had already arranged to host an artist for April, so we still will give them and their artist their moment in the spotlight. 

Can I sell my art at the April 9 Art Walk?

We will be noting that all work is for sale. If an artist is showing at the coordination of a business, normal commission and sales agreements apply, at the initiative of the business. If an artist is showing as an independent, their contact information will be featured and artist is responsible for coordinating sales privately.

What will the Art Walk be like?

  • We will still make a blog post for the April 9 Virtual Art Walk on wsartwalk.org, and it will go out on our social channels.
  • We will make a Facebook Album of all the submitted artwork, and will promote the artist and business like we typically do each month.
  • We are also encouraging all participating artists to email wsartwalk@gmail a short video of them and their work – TikTok style, boomerang, slo-mo, stop-motion, so long as it’s under 1:00 – to wsartwalk@gmail.com. We will post to our Instagram and Facebook pages on Art Walk night and get your art some extra visibility!
Tell your friends and family to “tune in” on Thursday, April 9, to the West Seattle Art Walk Facebook page or Instagram page to check out the art!
Here’s the link for artists or businesses to fill out our Artist Info Form via this link. All the artist needs is to share their artist statement, social links, and samples of art work.

Deadline is still Wednesday, April 8, by noon, to be added to the blog, do it sooner for the exposure! And remember:
